Description: KvalitetInformationen kommer huvudsakligen från inventeringar, anmälningar och arkeologiska undersökningar. En stor del av informationen kommer från den s.k. fornminnesinventeringen som pågick 1938-2002. Vid överföring av information från analog till digital form ingick kvalitetssäkring på en övergripande nivå men inte av varje enskild post. Endast den mest nödvändiga informationen kvalitetssäkrades; lämningstyp, antikvarisk bedömning samt läge. Övrig information kvalitetssäkrades inte, detta gäller bland annat beskrivningarna. Kvalitetssäkring pågår hela tiden och fel rättas löpande. Informationen digitaliserades mellan 1999 och 2006. 2003 publicerades det första datat. Det tillkommer kontinuerligt information om nya lämningar. Enligt kulturmiljölagen (1988:950) är fornlämningar skyddade oavsett om de är registrerade eller ej.
